A written test and a stenography test are to be conducted by Union Public Service Commission for Section Officers/ Stenographer’s. (Grade B/Grade I). The examination is to be held on 27th and 28th December. The Stenography test is likely to be held on 29.12.2014.

The responsibility for conducting these tests is on Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). The examination will be conducted by UPSC in two distinct phases. Phase –I of the exam will be a written test while Phase-II will be for the Stenography test.

Those who desire to appear in the examination should be in possession of a valid admit card for the tests. The admit cards for the examination are now available on the website of UPSC or Union Public Service Commission.

Those who appear in the written examination will have to face three papers. There is provision of negative marking in the examination and for every wrong answer given by the candidates; one third of the mark which has been assigned for that particular question will get deducted.

For the benefit of the candidates, the question papers and test booklets will be available both in Hindi and English languages.

Instructions to the Candidates:

The candidates will be allowed entry into the examination hall, 20 minutes prior to the test. However, the candidates should note that no one of them will be allowed entry into the examination hall up to 10 minutes after the commencement of the examination.

It is strictly advised that none of the candidates will bring any kind of mobile phone/pager or any other kind of electronic equipment into the examination hall. Possession of any such article will be considered a punishable offense and the candidates can be stopped from appearing in the exam.

No kind of travelling allowance or any other stipend will be admissible for appearing in the examination. The candidates can bring along e-admission certificate but will have to come with any valid ID proof as Voter ID card or Adhar card so that their identity can be verified.

The candidates should note that their entry into the examination hall is strictly provisional and that their certificates and other credentials will be verified once they clear the examination. Candidates whose credentials do not match the information listed in the application details are likely to face disqualification from further process.
