Combined Defence services examination results
At the onset, the results of the Combined Defence Services Examination (I)-2014 conducted by the Union Public Service Commission or UPSC in February, 2014 and SSB interviews held by the Services Selection Board of the Ministry of Defence for admission to the 138th Course of Indian Military Academy at Dehradun; Indian Naval Academy located at Ezhimala and Air Force Academy situated at Hyderabad, Pre-Flying Training Course, have arrived. There are 238 candidates who have been qualified on the basis of merit, of which some are common in all the three lists.
For the Indian Military Academy, the number of vacancies as informed by the government is 250. Of this, 32 vacancies are for NCC ‘C’ certificate from the Army Wing holders, 40 for Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala from the Hydro/ Executive General Service. There are 6 vacancies also for NCC ‘C’ certificate from the Naval wing holders, and 32 for Air Force Academy, Hyderabad. The commission had optionally recommended 5480, 614 and 2855 as qualified in the written test for admission to the Indian Military Academy/ Indian Naval Academy and Air Force Academy respectively. The final number of candidates will be specified after those qualified completing the SSB testing conducted by Army Head Quarters. While taking into account the preparing the lists, the results of the medical examination has not been taken into account.
The verification of the date of birth and other educational qualifications of the candidate is still not processed by the Army Headquarters. The candidature of these entrants is provisional on the grade scored by them. The candidates are requested to send across their original certificates, which would have details of their date of birth, educational qualification, and the like. The original certificates must be sent along with their photo attested copies thereafter to the Army Headquarters, or the Naval Headquarters or the Air Headquarters, respectively as per their first choice whatsoever. If there is a change of address, the candidates are advised to intimate directly to the Army Headquarters, Air Headquarters or Naval Headquarters. The results will be available on the UPSC website. After the complete process only, the marks of the entrants would be available on the website. The complete process would include the final results of the Officers’ Training Academy for Combined Defence Services Examination.
