The results of SSC Junior Engineer Examination conducted by Staff Selection Commission have been declared. This was the Paper-I conducted by Staff Selection Commission. This examination was conducted in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical and Quality Surveying and Contract streams. In total, around 264945 candidates had appeared in the examination.

The written competitive examination for the position was conducted by Staff Selection Commission (SSC) on 25th May, 2014. This examination was conducted for recruitment to the post of Junior Engineer.

Staff Selection Commission had set a criterion for recruitment to this post. Around 10987 candidates were able to fulfil this criterion and qualified for the Paper II to be conducted by Staff Selection Commission. Staff Selection Commission has declared the cut off marks and as notified by the authorities these are now available on the website of Staff Selection Commission.

Eligibility Criterion:

The eligibility criterion for recruitment to the position of Junior Engineer in Staff Selection Commission is as under:

The commission conducts two papers for recruitment to these positions. Paper I is general in nature and is to check the suitability of the candidates to the positions. Paper-II is trade specific and candidates are tested from their skill of the subject, they intend to appear for.

Following these tests, the candidates who are successful are then shortlisted for personal interviews and medical examination.

Other eligibility conditions for appearing in the test are as under:

Candidates from any state of India can appear for these examinations. In addition, candidates residing in Nepal and Bhutan can also appear for the above listed posts.

Those who intend to appear for the examination must be 18-27 years in age on the closing date of this examination. Age relaxation to other category of candidates is provided as per the provisions of Government of India.

Educational Qualifications:

Those who intend to appear for any of the above examinations should be in possession of diploma in civil, electrical or mechanical engineering. This diploma should have been obtained from any of the recognized government universities or institutes awarding such diplomas.

Staff Section Commission notifies these examinations/ vacancies twice a year. Interested candidates are requested to check the website of Staff Selection Commission timely, so as to apply for these or any other notified posts by the Staff Selection Commission.
