CTET Examination February 2015

Official notification for conducting of CTET Examination for 2014 has been issued. Those who are interested in teaching jobs in school all over India can apply for this job through online mode.

CTET (to be held in February 2015)

18th December to 8th January, 2015

Last date of Payment through E-challan or Debit Card:

10th January, 2015

Examination Schedule:

The examination will be held on 22nd February, 2015. Two papers (Paper-I and Paper-II) will be held during morning and evening sessions. Each of the paper will be of two and half hour duration.

Applicability of the Examination:

CTET is applicable to schools that come under the preview of Central Government (KVS, NVS and Tibetan Schools). Schools under administrative preview of Union Territories also come under the ambit of CTET.

The test is also applicable to other private schools that wish to consider this as a medium of recruiting candidates for the post of teachers.

Eligibility for the Examination:

Those candidates who fulfil the following criterion can apply for this examination:

Education qualification for becoming teachers for class I-V

Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of Diploma in Elementary Education/ 4 years of Bachelors in Elementary Education/2 years diploma in Education.

Education qualification for becoming teachers for class VI-VIII (Elementary Stage)

Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education/ 1 year Bachelors in Education/4 years Bachelors in Elementary Education/1 year B.Ed (special education).

Fee for appearing in the Examination:

The fee for appearing in the examination for candidates belonging to General/OBC candidates is Rs 600/- and Rs 1000/- respectively. Those belonging to SC/ST/Differentially abled categories need to pay Rs 300/- and Rs 500/- respectively.

As the form for CTET is to be filled online, the candidates need to have a scanned photograph and signature handy at the time of applying for the examination. The candidates also need to mention their mobile number and e-mail id while applying for the examination. Any relevant information to the candidates on the time and date of the examination will be sent on their registered mobile number and email address.

However, the candidates should note that this examination is of qualifying nature and the candidates cannot demand to be employed merely by clearing this exam.
