Admit card for Officer Scale I Exam (Banking) Karnataka

An online written examination for recruitment to the post of Officer Scale-I will be conducted by Karnataka Bank. The written examination will be conducted across Karnataka in month of December 2014. The said examination will be conducted at Bangalore, Belgaum, Bagalkot, Bidar, Bellary, Bijapur, Chennai, Chikkaballapura, Chikmagalur, Dharwad, Davangere, Gulbarga, Gadag, Hassan, Haliyal, Hubli, Haveri, Mangalore, Mandya, Mysore, Shimoga, Tumkur and Udupi.

The online examination will be held on 27th December, 2014 which happens to be Saturday. Those who have applied for the examination can download their admission cards soon from the website

Admit Card for the Examination:

Those who desire to appear for the examination can check the admit card from the head” Download Call Letter for Online Test”. The call letters can be downloaded by visiting this link. Necessary intimation on downloading of the call letter will also be sent to the candidates through SMS and email.

The candidates can use the following for downloading the call letter:

  • Registration Number
  • Roll Number
  • Password
  • Date of Birth

A recent photograph preferably the one used during registration needs to be used on the call letter. The candidate can appear at the examination center with the call letter and a photo identity proof.

Scheme of Examination:

The examination is an online objective test and is of 200 marks. 40 questions from five distinct sections will be asked in the examination. These will be from

  1. Reasoning
  2. Quantitative Aptitude
  3. Current Affairs
  4. English
  5. Computer Awareness

The total time duration for the examination will be 2 hours. The examination for all the sections except from English subject will be in a bilingual mode ie English and Hindi. For being successful in the examination overall, the candidate needs to qualify each of the objective test separately.

Candidates should note that negative marking will be applicable for the examination. 1/4th mark will get deducted for every wrong answer.

Candidates who are declared pass in the written examination will only be considered for the personal interviews.

Candidates should make special effort to concentrate on Reasoning and Numerical Ability sections and should concentrate while attempting the same. Current affairs preparation can be done successfully by reading general knowledge magazines and newspapers on a regular basis. The candidates need to have basic computing skills to qualify the computer awareness section of the objective examination.
